Boeing Ukraine LLC is currently seeking a Material Processes & Physics Engineer to join our Flammability team in Kyiv, Ukraine.
MP&P Engineer position is responsible for assistance of Flammability and Design Engineering with requirements definitions for materials and processes compliant to FAA flammability regulations and Policy Statement requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collects information to support definition of requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the manufacture and engineering design of products.
- Incorporates changes to specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes.
- Work closely with Project Engineers and support junior Flammability Engineers to complete engineering deliverables per project schedule and budget.
- Review and approve engineering drawings dataset to find and show flammability compliance for IRC and Non-IRC. Position may require future involvement in DAE (Design Approval Engineer) role including following activities - initiate flammability testing, write and conduct lead review of flammability test plans and test reports. Making Major/Minor determinations as a DAE for multiple Boeing commercial airplanes.
- Assist with activities to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
- Conducts basic analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Incorporates environment health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 5+ years of experience in multiple tech disciplines, such as product, design, materials processes and physics.
- Deep understanding and applicability of Method of Compliance, FAA Policy Statement.
- Minimum 3 years related experience in aerospace certification.
- Excellent knowledge of certification requirements.
- Knowledge in evaluation of changes to type design – Major/Minor determination.
- Spoken and written English upper intermediate.
- Existing authorization to work in Ukraine.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Boeing specific applications such as MCIS, DCCS, ECC, LOPA and others.
- Well-organized, ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Transparent about your achievements, issues, and blockers.
- Able to find efficient solutions and reach a compromise between technical solutions and business needs.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
